A group of zebras crossing the Pan, Namibia, September 2002. The animals follow paths to move from a point to another. We obviously stand on one of them. The leader watches us while the rest of the herd waits a few meters back. Springbok (the small ones) and male Kudus (with the huge horns) are following. Zebras have a complex walking order: Leader followed by females by rank, each female followed by her descent.
